FREEWARE AUDIO PLUGIN LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (“User”) and the author or copyright holder (“Author”) for the software plugin (“Software”). By installing, copying, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.

1. License Grant

The Software is provided free of charge. The Author grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software for non-commercial, personal audio production purposes only, in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.

2. Restrictions

You may NOT:

  • Use the Software for commercial purposes, including but not limited to:
  • Commercial music production
  • Monetized audio, video, or multimedia content
  • Client work, paid commissions, or services
  • Any activity intended for financial gain
  • Sell, sublicense, rent, lease, or distribute the Software
  • Redistribute the Software without prior written permission from the Author
  • Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Software
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

3. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Prohibition

The Software may NOT be used, directly or indirectly, for:

  • Training, fine-tuning, or validating artificial intelligence or machine learning models
  • Dataset generation, feature extraction, or analysis for AI or ML purposes
  • Any automated system designed to learn, replicate, or emulate audio behavior

This prohibition applies whether the Software is used alone or as part of a larger system.

4. Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. All rights, title, and interest in and to the Software remain the exclusive property of the Author.

5. No Warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing in this Agreement shall limit any mandatory statutory rights under applicable EU consumer protection law.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Author shall not be liable for any damages whatsoever, including without limitation direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-profits damages, arising out of the use or inability to use the Software. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

7. Termination

This Agreement is effective until terminated. The Author may terminate this Agreement immediately if you fail to comply with its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies in your possession.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the laws of the Author’s country of residence, excluding conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you may also benefit from mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

9. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Author regarding the Software and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements. © [2025] [NEMUS Project]. All rights reserved.

Presets and locations

How do I work with presets?

All our plugins use a custom preset mechanism shown at the top of the plugin window. A set of Factory presets is written when the plugin is initially opened after installation. These presets, along with user created presets, are stored as .papreset files in the folder location indicated at the bottom of the plugin’s information window (the ‘i’ button).

How do I restore the Factory presets?

To restore the Factory presets delete the presets folder. The location is shown at the bottom of the plugin’s information window. You should take a backup of user created presets beforehand.

Where are the plugins stored?

The installers write the plugins to the standard locations, which are:

macOS

  • HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
  • HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
  • HD/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins

Windows

  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins
